Dell Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 Adapter

This new wireless adapter combines 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n Wi-Fi with Bluetooth 4.0 in a single M.2 card. It is built for laptops or small-form-factor desktops that have a compatible M.2 slot and need dual-band connectivity. The Intel 7260 controller handles both wireless standards without requiring a separate Bluetooth dongle.

Suits owners adding Wi-Fi

Users whose system only offers a Mini-PCIe socket cannot install this M.2 card. Buyers who require a newer Wi-Fi controller or a different Bluetooth version should look elsewhere. The card delivers the exact wireless and Bluetooth specifications listed and nothing beyond them.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Mini-PCIe card and which step is often missed?

Insert the card into a Mini-PCIe slot at an angle, press down until the clips lock, then attach both antenna cables to the numbered connectors — the step people skip is securing both cables firmly.

What maintenance will the Bluetooth 4.0 module need over time?

No routine maintenance is required; if wireless performance drops, update the Intel driver from the vendor site and check that the antenna cables remain tightly seated.
