Refurbished Latitude 5420 for business users

This refurbished Dell Latitude 5420 ships with Windows 11 Pro and a Grade A cosmetic rating. The quad-core Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor runs at 2.8 GHz with 12 MB L3 cache. Thirty-two gigabytes of memory and a 512 GB SSD support multitasking and fast boot times. The 14.0 inch non-touch display delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution in a thin-and-light chassis.

Included power adapter and port selection

The package contains the laptop and a power adapter. Two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one HDMI 2.0 output and a single RJ-45 Ethernet jack handle docks, peripherals and wired networks. A headphone and microphone combo jack and an integrated webcam complete the connectivity set for remote meetings.

Integrated Iris Xe graphics share system memory

The Intel Iris Xe graphics subsystem uses shared system memory rather than dedicated video memory. This configuration suits office productivity, web apps and video playback but limits 3D rendering and gaming performance. Buyers who need discrete graphics for CAD or creative workloads should consider a different system.

Questions about this item

Will the 512 GB SSD need replacement if I fill it with large project files?

The 512 GB SSD is the only internal drive listed; adding external storage via Thunderbolt 4 ports is the practical way to expand capacity.

What limits performance first when the Core i7-1165G7 runs at 2.8 GHz for hours?

The integrated Iris Xe graphics share the 32 GB system memory, so sustained heavy GPU workloads will hit memory bandwidth before the CPU throttles.

How much fan noise and heat appear when the 14.0 inch chassis runs Windows 11 Pro all day?

The thin 0.76 inch profile and 3.01 lb weight leave limited cooling volume, so expect audible fans and warm surfaces under continuous load.
