Product Identity

This refurbished Dell Precision 7710 is a 17.3-inch mobile workstation with a quad-core Intel Core i7-6820HQ processor, 32GB of memory and a 512GB SSD. It ships with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and a non-touch FHD display. The unit carries a Grade A cosmetic rating.

Suitability

The configuration suits engineers, analysts or mobile professionals who need a large screen, plenty of RAM and fast solid-state storage for legacy Windows 10 applications. Buyers who require a touchscreen, discrete graphics, or a newer operating system should consider other models.

Build Integration

The laptop provides HDMI and Mini DisplayPort outputs for external monitors, a USB-C connector and multiple USB 3.0 ports for peripherals, plus an RJ-45 jack for wired networking. An integrated webcam supports video calls without extra accessories. The 512GB SSD leaves the 2.5-inch bay free if additional internal storage is added later.

Questions about this item

Does the laptop need any external power adapter to run the Intel Core i7-6820HQ and 17.3" FHD screen?

The Precision 7710 includes its own AC adapter, so the quad-core processor and 1920 x 1080 display operate without any extra power brick.

Can I keep using my older USB 3.0 peripherals with the USB-C and three USB 3.0 ports on this unit?

Yes, the USB-C connector and three USB 3.0 connectors are backward compatible, so existing USB 3.0 devices will work at USB 3.0 speeds.

How can I verify the 32GB memory and 512GB SSD are recognised after first boot?

Open Windows 10 Pro Settings > System > About to confirm 32 GB installed RAM, then check File Explorer for a 512 GB C: drive.
