Dell Latitude 7490 refurbished laptop

This refurbished Dell Latitude 7490 is a 14-inch business laptop running Windows 10 Pro. It suits professionals who need a portable device for office applications, web browsing and video calls. The quad-core Intel Core i7-8650U processor and 16GB DDR4 memory handle typical productivity workloads. Buyers who want a dedicated graphics card or a touchscreen should look elsewhere.

Sustained load behaviour

The 15W Intel Core i7-8650U relies on the integrated fan to maintain clocks during long sessions. Under continuous multi-threaded work the chassis warms noticeably and the processor may throttle to stay within its thermal envelope. The 512GB SATA SSD delivers steady throughput for large file transfers without the slowdown seen on smaller drives. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics limits gaming or 3D rendering to light tasks only.

Installation and common issues

Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed so the laptop reaches the desktop after the initial out-of-box setup. Driver updates arrive through Windows Update and the Dell support site using the service tag. The 4-cell battery on a refurbished unit often shows reduced capacity compared with the original 3.1 lbs specification. Some units arrive with minor cosmetic wear on the black chassis.
