Dell LaserJet 1720DN Monochrome Laser Printer

The Dell LaserJet 1720DN is a monochrome laser printer built for small offices or workgroups needing reliable black-and-white output. It prints up to 28 A4 pages per minute and supports a monthly duty cycle of 750 to 2000 pages. Standard connectivity includes 10/100 BaseT Ethernet, USB 2.0 and IEEE 1284-B parallel ports. The 250-sheet input drawer handles A4, A5, B5, C5 and DL media.

Sustained load behaviour and duty cycle

The printer is rated for a monthly duty cycle of 750 to 2000 pages, indicating its intended workload envelope. Maximum resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi operates at half the rated speed, so high-quality jobs will take longer. Media support covers standard paper, card stock up to 160 gsm, labels, transparencies and envelopes up to 90 gsm. The covered 250-sheet tray reduces reload frequency during continuous printing.

Setup checks before ordering

Verify that your network provides a 10/100 BaseT Ethernet connection or that a USB 2.0 or IEEE 1284-B parallel port is available on the host. Confirm operating system compatibility with the listed Windows, Mac OS, Linux, UNIX, Novell NetWare, Citrix or SAP environments. Note that no toner cartridge is included in the box, so a compatible toner must be sourced separately. A power cable and USB cable are supplied.
