Business-class 13.3" laptop with quad-core i7

The Dell Latitude 13-7390 is a new 13.3-inch business laptop running Windows 10 Pro. It uses an Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor at 1.9 GHz with 8 MB L3 cache. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics drive the 1920 x 1080 LCD panel. The system ships with 16 GB DDR3 memory and a 256 GB SSD in a black chassis.

Memory and storage fixed at 16 GB and 256 GB

This unit has zero available memory slots and a maximum supported memory of 16 GB, so RAM cannot be upgraded after purchase. The 256 GB solid-state drive is the only internal storage provided and there is no optical drive. Connectivity includes two USB 3.0 ports, one HDMI output, audio ports and 802.11ac wireless LAN; Bluetooth is not included.

Buyers needing more than 16 GB RAM

The sealed memory configuration and single SSD bay make this laptop unsuitable for users who anticipate expanding system memory beyond 16 GB or adding a second drive. Professionals requiring Bluetooth peripherals or more than two USB ports should also consider other models.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 16 GB DDR3 configuration or is a larger memory option available?

The laptop ships with 16 GB of DDR3 memory and the manufacturer lists 16 GB as the maximum supported capacity, so no larger option exists for this model.

What does the i7-8650U quad-core 1.9 GHz processor deliver in daily workloads?

The four-core 1.9 GHz CPU with 8 MB cache handles typical business multitasking, web browsing and office applications smoothly within its 15 W thermal envelope.

Which USB standard do the two ports use and what transfer ceiling does that impose?

Both ports are USB 3.0, capping practical throughput at the 5 Gbit/s signalling rate of that standard.
