Latitude 3520 for daily work

The Dell Latitude 3520 is a 15.6 inch laptop built for office tasks and study. An 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 with four cores runs at 2.40 GHz and reaches 4.2 GHz on boost. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB PCIe NVMe SSD keep the system responsive. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is installed.

Ports and connectivity expand options

Two USB 3.1 Gen1 ports and one USB 2.0 port handle standard peripherals. A USB 3.2 Type-C Gen2 port adds faster data transfer and display output. HDMI connects an external monitor. The micro SD reader imports photos quickly. Wi-Fi 6 AX201 and Bluetooth 5.1 provide modern wireless links. Gigabit Ethernet is available through the RJ-45 jack.

Storage and screen set practical limits

The 256 GB SSD holds the operating system and a moderate application library; large media collections will need external drives. The 1366 x 768 IPS panel at 60 Hz suits document work and web browsing but lacks the pixel density for detailed creative editing. The 54 WHr battery and 65 W adapter support typical mobile use.

Questions about this item

Can the 16 GB DDR4 memory be upgraded later if I need more capacity?

The Latitude 3520 uses DDR4 SO-DIMM slots; the current 16 GB occupies one or both slots depending on the factory build, so adding capacity means checking the slot layout before buying modules.

What limits sustained performance first — the 15 W i5-1135G7 or the 65 W power adapter?

The 65 W adapter caps combined CPU and GPU draw, so the 4.2 GHz turbo cannot be held for long periods before power throttling engages.

How loud does the fan get and how hot does the chassis feel during an all-day workload?

The 54 Whr battery and compact 0.75 in chassis push the single fan to spin audibly under load; the palm rest and underside become noticeably warm within an hour.
