Dell Latitude 5289 2-in-1 LCD Back Cover Lid

This genuine Dell OEM assembly replaces the LCD back cover lid on a Latitude 5289 2-in-1 laptop. It arrives new and includes the integrated WLAN wireless antenna cables. The part is built to match the original chassis fit and finish for a direct swap.

Sustained use and structural role

Under daily opening and closing cycles the lid maintains hinge alignment and protects the display panel. The two included WLAN antennas preserve wireless reception without degradation over time. Magnets hold the bezel securely during tablet-mode transitions.

Compatibility check before ordering

Verify the laptop is a Latitude 5289 2-in-1 without the optional WWAN wireless module. This assembly supports WLAN only and will not provide cellular antenna connections. Confirm the Dell part number RP0P4 matches the service tag or maintenance manual.

Questions about this item

Does this lid assembly add any fan noise or heat when I use the laptop all day?

No, the RP0P4 back cover is a passive shell with magnets and two WLAN antenna cables, so it produces no noise or heat of its own.

Which parts of my Latitude 5289 2-in-1 must already be intact for this RP0P4 lid to fit and function?

You need the existing hinges, display panel, webcam module and WLAN card with its two antenna connectors; the lid simply bolts onto those components.

Will the RP0P4 cover work on a Latitude 5289 2-in-1 that originally shipped with the optional WWAN card?

The notes state this assembly is for systems without WWAN, so a model that has WWAN antennas would not be compatible.
