DELL Latitude 5289 7389 2-in-1 EMEA Palmrest Touchpad Assembly

EMEA Palmrest Assembly for Latitude 2-in-1

This new Dell palmrest touchpad assembly fits Latitude 5289 and 7389 2-in-1 laptops. It arrives with an EMEA keyboard layout, integrated smart card reader, and fingerprint reader. The unit includes the touchpad module, mouse buttons, LED indicator board, USH junction board, and fingerprint reader as a single replacement part.

Suited for EMEA keyboard repairs only

Technicians servicing Latitude 5289 or 7389 2-in-1 units with EMEA keyboards can use this assembly to restore smart card and fingerprint functions. Builders needing a US-English layout palmrest cannot use this part; the supplier notes it will not support that keyboard variant. Shops repairing other Dell models should verify compatibility before ordering.

Critical constraint: EMEA layout exclusivity

The deciding specification is the EMEA keyboard layout restriction. This palmrest assembly is guaranteed compatible only with Latitude 5289 and 7389 2-in-1 laptops equipped with EMEA keyboards. It will not function with US-English layout keyboards, making layout verification the single factor that determines whether this is the correct replacement part.
