Built for field work

The Dell Latitude 5424 Rugged is a 14.0-inch laptop constructed to military-grade durability standards for harsh environments. It targets professionals who need reliable operation outdoors or in industrial settings where standard devices fail. The chassis uses specialised materials and rigorous component qualification to withstand drops, vibration and extreme temperatures.

Touchscreen and connectivity

A 10-point touchscreen with 1920 x 1080 resolution remains usable in direct sunlight and works with protective gloves. Ports include USB 3.0, USB Type-C, HDMI, DisplayPort, a serial port and RJ-45 for legacy and modern peripherals. Dual M.2 solid-state drives provide 128 GB and 2 TB of storage without moving parts.

Thermals and power

Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 and the quad-core i7-8650U processor run without discrete GPU heat, aided by a chassis designed for high-cycle performance testing. Internal 6- and 9-cell battery options support full-shift productivity away from mains power. Optional hot-swap bridge battery extends runtime further in the field.
