Product identity

The Dell Latitude 5450 is a 14.0 inch business laptop powered by an Intel Core Ultra 5 135U processor running at 1.4GHz. It ships with 16GB of memory and a 256GB SSD. The non-touch display shows 1920 x 1080 resolution. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed.

Build fit

The compact chassis suits mobile professionals who carry one device between meetings and desks. Integrated Intel Graphics handles everyday productivity and video playback without a discrete GPU. The 256GB drive covers the operating system and core applications; users with large local libraries will need external storage.

Upgrade context

This unit replaces older 13th Gen business notebooks that shipped with 8GB RAM and smaller SSDs. The jump is worthwhile when the workload demands 16GB memory for multitasking or when a fresh Windows 11 Pro licence simplifies fleet deployment. Buyers who want more storage or dedicated graphics should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the 1.4 GHz base clock throttle under continuous multi-core workloads?

The Intel Core Ultra 5 135U runs at 1.4 GHz base frequency; sustained performance will depend on the laptop's cooling solution and power limits.

How loud does the fan get and how hot does the chassis become during an all-day work session?

The 14.0 inch chassis uses integrated Intel Graphics, which typically generates less heat than discrete GPUs, so fan noise and surface temperatures stay moderate for office tasks.

Which peripherals or docks must I already own to use the Latitude 5450 at a desk?

The unit includes the original charger; any external monitors, keyboards or docking stations would need to be supplied separately.
