Questions about this item

How do I install the 256 GB SSD in the Dell Latitude 5490 and what step is often missed?

The 256 GB SSD is already fitted inside the 14 in chassis. No installation is required; the step users miss is checking that Windows 11 Pro recognises the full capacity on first boot.

What maintenance or replacement will the 8 GB memory need later?

The 8 GB is soldered to the mainboard so it cannot be upgraded. The only later action is a clean reinstall of Windows 11 Pro if the drive fills or the OS degrades.

What limit appears first on the Intel UHD Graphics 620 during sustained workloads?

The 620 integrated GPU shares system memory and hits its thermal ceiling before the 1.60 GHz quad-core i5-8250U throttles, capping 3D performance first.
