Genuine Dell Latitude 5490 Trim

This genuine Dell OEM lattice trim surrounds the keyboard on Latitude 5490 laptops equipped with the Dual Pointing layout. It replaces a damaged or missing bezel to restore the original fit and finish around the pointing stick and touchpad area.

Everyday Durability

Moulded from the same plastic specification as the factory part, the trim resists flexing and key-cap interference during extended typing sessions. The precise cut-outs maintain consistent tactile feedback for both pointing devices without creaking or shifting over time.

Direct Fit for Dual Pointing Models

The piece clips into the existing chassis mounting points, requiring no tools or adhesives for installation. It is engineered exclusively for the Dual Pointing keyboard variant and will not align with Single Pointing layouts on the same 5490 chassis.

Questions about this item

Does the lattice trim add any fan noise or heat to the Latitude 5490 during long sessions?

The plastic bezel is a passive cover that sits around the keyboard; it has no moving parts and does not affect thermals or acoustics.

What existing laptop feature must the Latitude 5490 already have for this 2PPHC trim to fit?

The unit must be equipped with the Dual Pointing keyboard layout; the Single Pointing version uses a different bezel.

Will this trim work if I keep the older single-pointing keyboard deck on my Latitude 5490?

No — the lattice is shaped specifically for the Dual Pointing layout and will not align with the single-pointing deck.
