Suited to mobile professionals needing a managed

This configuration suits office workers, students and IT fleets that value the Latitude chassis and vPro-class management features. Buyers who want a dedicated graphics processor, a larger display or more than 256 GB of internal storage should look at a different model.

16 GB soldered memory decides upgrade potential

The 16 GB of RAM is not expandable, so the memory capacity you buy is fixed for the life of the device. If your workload regularly exceeds this limit, this specific unit will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

Will this Latitude 5490 run alongside my older 14.0 inch dock?

The laptop has a 14.0 inch form factor and standard business ports, so most legacy docks for this series connect without adapters.

How can I verify the i5-8350U and 16 GB RAM are active after first boot?

Open Task Manager or System Information; both will show the Intel Core i5-8350U at 1.7 GHz and 16 GB of installed memory.

Does the box include the AC adapter or must I buy one separately?

Each unit ships with a functional AC adapter — either a new third-party unit or a tested OEM used adapter — so no separate purchase is needed.
