Business laptop for mobile professionals

The DELL Latitude 5490 is a 14.0 inch FHD laptop built for business users who need a reliable Windows 10 Pro device. Its Intel Core i7-8650U processor running at 1.90 GHz handles multitasking and productivity applications smoothly. With 16 GB of memory and a 256 GB NVMe drive, it offers responsive performance for daily workloads. The non-touch display keeps the focus on text clarity and battery efficiency.

Limits of the 256 GB NVMe drive

The 256 GB NVMe storage provides fast boot times and quick application launches for essential programs and documents. Users who keep large media libraries, extensive project archives or multiple virtual machines on the internal drive will run out of space quickly. External storage or cloud sync becomes necessary once the primary partition fills. The drive cannot be supplemented by a second internal slot in this chassis.

16 GB soldered memory decides upgrade path

The 16 GB of system memory is not expandable, so the configuration you buy is the configuration you keep. Buyers who anticipate heavier multitasking, virtualisation or memory-intensive creative suites should verify this ceiling before purchase. If the workload grows beyond 16 GB, the laptop cannot be adapted and a replacement unit will be required.
