Mobile professionals needing legacy ports

This unit suits mobile professionals who require a lightweight chassis with a full set of legacy connections including HDMI, VGA, USB 3.0 and a USB-C DisplayPort for external monitors or projectors. Gigabit Ethernet and 802.11n wireless cover wired and wireless networking. Buyers who need a touchscreen, a discrete graphics card, more than 8GB of memory or a larger display should look elsewhere.

2TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD capacity

The single specification that decides fit is the 2TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD, which delivers high-capacity solid-state storage in the M.2 form factor. No other drive is installed, so the total available space is fixed at this amount. Verify that this capacity and interface match your storage requirements before purchase.

Questions about this item

What does the 1.9 GHz base clock on the Core i7-8650U mean for everyday workloads?

The quad-core processor runs at 1.9 GHz base with 8 MB cache and 15 W TDP, so office apps, web browsing and video calls stay responsive while keeping heat and fan noise low in the 14.0" chassis.

How fast is the USB-C port and what can it drive?

The single USB-C port carries DisplayPort video and USB 3.0 data, letting you connect a 1080p monitor or dock at up to 5 Gbps without a separate video cable.

Will a standard 2280 M.2 drive fit the storage slot?

Yes — the 2 TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD already installed uses the common 2280 form factor, so any future NVMe upgrade of that length will mount directly.
