Genuine Dell Palmrest for Latitude 5510

This genuine Dell OEM palmrest assembly fits Latitude 5510 and Precision 3550 laptops configured with the dual-pointing stick and without a smart-card reader. It replaces a damaged or worn top case section using Dell part numbers M2YMF, A1999D and PVY9G. Buyers who need a smart-card reader cutout or a single-pointing layout cannot use this part.

Dual-pointing layout with integrated buttons

The assembly includes the touchpad module 2GW1W and separate mouse-button board XJ53Y arranged for the dual-pointing stick design. This layout provides both the trackpad and the centre pointing stick with dedicated left, right and middle buttons above the touchpad. Systems equipped with a smart-card reader or a single pointing-stick configuration are not compatible.

Ready-to-install OEM replacement

The palmrest arrives as a complete factory assembly so no separate ribbon cables or button boards are required. Technicians can swap the unit directly during a top-case repair without sourcing additional sub-components. Shops repairing models outside the 5510 and 3550 series, or units with the optional smart-card reader, must source a different part number.
