Built for mobile professionals

The Dell Latitude 5520 is a 15.6-inch business laptop running Windows 10 Pro. It combines an Intel Core i5-1135G7 quad-core processor with 16GB of system memory and a 256GB SSD. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics handle everyday visual tasks. The chassis comes in a professional grey finish.

Suits office workers needing a ready-to-go Windows

This configuration serves staff who need a current Windows 10 Pro environment with enough memory for multitasking across browser tabs, documents and video calls. Buyers who require a dedicated graphics processor for 3D rendering, heavy video editing or gaming should look elsewhere. The 256GB drive may also limit users with large local media libraries or virtual machines.

Quad-core Tiger Lake processor at 2.40 GHz base

The Intel Core i5-1135G7 provides four cores and 8MB of smart cache, defining the performance ceiling for this unit. It determines how smoothly the laptop handles simultaneous business applications and background processes. All other specifications scale around this processor choice.

Questions about this item

How much heat and fan noise does the Core i5-1135G7 produce during all-day workloads?

The quad-core i5-1135G7 runs at a 2.40 GHz base frequency with 8 MB smart cache, so sustained loads stay within the laptop’s standard thermal envelope; fan speed rises only when the shared Iris Xe graphics are also pushed hard.

Which peripherals or accounts must I already have to start using the 15.6" Latitude 5520?

Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed and the 16 GB memory plus 256 GB SSD are soldered in, so only a Wi-Fi 802.11ax network or a Bluetooth device and a Microsoft account are needed for first boot.

Will my older USB-A dock and external 1080p monitor work with the Iris Xe graphics on this 5520?

Yes — the integrated Iris Xe GPU drives external displays through the laptop’s standard video outputs, so a legacy USB-A dock and a 1080p screen will function without extra adapters.
