Dell Latitude 5520 mobile workstation

This Dell Latitude 5520 is a 15.6 inch FHD laptop built for professionals who need large memory and storage in a portable chassis. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an Intel Core i7-1185G7 processor with four cores reaching 4.4 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 64GB RAM and a 2TB SSD alongside a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce MX450 graphics card.

Suits office workloads and multi-tasking

The 64GB memory and 2TB drive support heavy multitasking, large datasets and virtual machines for business users and developers. The MX450 handles external displays and light creative tasks but is not designed for intensive 3D rendering, modern gaming or compute workloads. Buyers who need more graphics power should consider a different class of machine.

Key spec: 64GB RAM and 2TB SSD

The combination of 64GB memory and a 2TB solid-state drive is the defining specification that determines fit for purpose. This capacity allows large projects to stay resident in memory and provides ample local storage for files and applications. Verify that your workflow benefits from this memory and storage level before purchasing.

Questions about this item

How does the 4.4 GHz turbo frequency behave once the laptop is under sustained load?

The Intel Core i7-1185G7 can reach 4.40 GHz on short bursts; actual sustained speeds depend on the cooling solution and power limits set in the firmware.

What does the Thunderbolt port cap in real-world use?

The Thunderbolt 4 ports support Power Delivery and DisplayPort, enabling charging and up to two 4K displays or one 8K display through a single USB Type-C connection.

Will the 15.6 inch chassis fit in a standard 15 inch laptop sleeve?

The body measures 14.09 inches wide by 9.19 inches deep and 0.78 inches thick, so a sleeve sized for 15.6 inch models is the correct match.
