Business laptop for office work

The Dell Latitude 5520 is a 15.6 inch notebook built for daily productivity. It runs Windows 10 Pro on an Intel Core i5 11th Gen i5-1135G7 quad-core processor with a 4.20 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 8GB of memory and a 512GB SSD for fast boot and application load times.

Display and connectivity limits

The non-touch HD panel has a 1366 x 768 resolution, which limits on-screen workspace compared to higher-density screens. Integrated graphics handle only basic visual tasks and light media playback. Wireless uses 802.11ac while wired LAN is provided by a single RJ45 port.

Memory capacity decides fit

The 8GB RAM is soldered and not upgradeable, so buyers who need more memory for heavy multitasking or virtual machines must choose a different model. The 512GB SSD offers sufficient space for documents and standard business applications.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 8 GB / 512 GB configuration or look for a different capacity?

This unit comes with 8 GB of memory and a 512 GB SSD; both are fixed on this model, so there is no alternative capacity to select.

What does the 4.2 GHz turbo speed actually deliver in daily work?

The i5-1135G7 runs at a base of .9 GHz and can boost to 4.2 GHz on up to four cores, giving short bursts of extra speed for tasks like spreadsheet recalculation or app launches.

What can the Thunderbolt 4 ports do for monitors and charging?

Each Thunderbolt 4 port supports DisplayPort video and power delivery, allowing external displays and laptop charging through the same USB Type-C connector.
