Dell Latitude 5520 Business Laptop

This Dell Latitude 5520 is a 2021 business laptop with a 15.6 inch HD display. It runs Windows 10 Pro on an Intel Core i7-1185G7 processor with four cores reaching 4.4 GHz. The system includes 8GB of memory and a 256GB SSD. A fingerprint reader and integrated webcam support secure daily logins and video calls.

Suited For Mobile Professionals

The lightweight 1.59 kg chassis and Thunderbolt 4 ports suit professionals who dock at a desk and move between meetings. Buyers needing a touchscreen, discrete graphics or a higher resolution panel should consider other models. The 8GB memory is soldered and not user-upgradable, so power users requiring more RAM must look elsewhere.

Key Specification: 1366 x 768 HD Display

The 1366 x 768 HD non-touch screen defines the visual experience for document work and web browsing. It provides standard clarity for office applications but lacks the pixel density for detailed creative tasks or multi-window layouts. Verify this resolution matches your workflow before purchase.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 256GB SSD in the Latitude 5520, and what step is often missed?

The 256GB SSD is factory-fitted in the Latitude 5520; no user installation is required. The step buyers sometimes miss is confirming the drive appears in BIOS before the first Windows 10 Pro boot.

What maintenance or replacement will the 8GB memory need later?

The 8GB memory is soldered and cannot be upgraded or replaced. Maintenance is limited to keeping the OS and drivers current so the Tiger Lake cores and integrated graphics run efficiently.

What limit appears first on the 15.6" HD panel during sustained use?

The 1366 x 768 resolution and non-touch HD panel limit visible detail and colour volume long before the i7-1185G7 hits its 4.40 GHz turbo ceiling.
