Business Laptop for Professionals

The Dell Latitude 5521 is a new business laptop built around an Intel Core i7 11850H processor with 8 cores running at 2.50 GHz. It ships with 16 GB of memory and a 512 GB NVMe drive. The 15.6 inch FHD display, webcam, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and backlit numeric keyboard support daily office work on Windows 11 Pro.

Best for Mobile Office Workers

This unit suits professionals who need a complete, ready-to-run Windows machine with a numeric keypad for spreadsheet tasks and a Type-C charger for light travel. Buyers who need discrete graphics for rendering or a higher-capacity battery for full-day unplugged use should look elsewhere.

512 GB NVMe Storage Decides Fit

The single specification that decides fit is the 512 GB NVMe drive. It determines how many local projects, virtual machines or media files you can keep on board. If your workflow demands more internal capacity, this laptop will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

Will the 512 GB NVMe drive need replacing if I fill it with large project files?

The 512 GB NVMe drive is user-replaceable; a larger NVMe module can be installed when capacity runs low.

Does the Intel Core i7 11850H hit its thermal ceiling before the 16 GB RAM limit during long compiles?

Sustained heavy workloads will hit the processor thermal ceiling first; the 16 GB memory is not the limiting factor.

How loud and hot does the chassis get when the 11850H runs at 2.50 GHz all day?

Under continuous load the cooling fans become audible and the keyboard deck warms noticeably, while power draw stays within the Type-C adapter rating.
