Dell Latitude 5590 15.6" FHD laptop

The Dell Latitude 5590 is a 15.6 inch Full HD laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor running at 1.7 GHz with a 3.6 GHz boost. It comes with 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB SSD. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles the display.

Suits mobile professionals needing a 15.6 inch

This laptop suits users who want a 15.6 inch non-touch FHD display, quad-core performance, and Windows 11 Pro for office work. Buyers who need a dedicated graphics card, more than 8 GB of memory, or a touchscreen should look elsewhere. The chassis shows light wear marks from use.

256 GB SSD capacity decides fit

The single specification that decides fit is the 256 GB solid-state drive. If your applications and files require more internal storage, this unit will not meet that need. No larger drive is included. Verify your storage requirement before purchase.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 256GB SSD into the Latitude 5590, and which step is commonly missed?

The SSD slots into the internal M.2 connector; the step often missed is removing the bottom case screws and disconnecting the battery before fitting the drive.

What maintenance or replacement will the 8GB DDR4 memory need later?

The memory is soldered and cannot be upgraded; if capacity becomes limiting the only option is a full system replacement.

At what point does the Intel UHD Graphics 620 become the bottleneck under sustained workloads?

The integrated GPU hits its thermal and power ceiling during prolonged 3D or video encoding tasks, causing clock throttling.
