Genuine Dell OEM replacement base

This genuine Dell OEM bottom base assembly replaces the original chassis on a Latitude 7030 Rugged Extreme Tablet. It is built for the specific configuration that includes an internal battery and a Smart Card reader but omits the rear camera. The part number 06TT1 ensures an exact fit for that hardware variant. It is not suitable for tablets that have a rear camera or lack the internal battery.

Restores structural integrity and port access

Swapping the damaged base with this assembly returns the tablet to its factory rugged specification. The integrated Smart Card reader and power button remain fully functional after installation. The included rear camera filler blank maintains the sealed chassis profile required for environmental protection. Buyers who need a rear camera must source the alternative assembly instead.

Direct-fit mounting with factory fasteners

The assembly uses the original screw points and alignment features, so no modifications are needed during repair. The Smart Card reader board and power button are pre-installed, reducing reassembly time. The dummy insert for the missing rear camera preserves the IP rating across that opening. Technicians without the 06TT1 part number should verify compatibility before ordering.

Questions about this item

Does the base assembly generate any heat or noise during continuous use?

The bottom base is a passive mechanical part with no fans, motors or electronics, so it produces no heat or noise.

What existing tablet components are required for this base to function?

You need a Latitude 7030 Rugged Extreme Tablet that already has the optional internal single battery, the Smart Card reader and no rear camera.

Will this base fit a Latitude 7030 that currently has a rear-facing camera installed?

No — the assembly includes a dummy filler blank for the camera opening and is built only for systems without the rear camera.
