Detachable rugged tablet with i7-8650U

The Dell Latitude 7212 is an 11.6" detachable 2-in-1 built for field work. It runs Windows 10 Pro on an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8650U with 16 GB of soldered memory and a 1 TB M.2 2242 SSD. The FHD touchscreen resolves at 1920 x 1080 and supports pen input for outdoor use.

Field workers needing a sealed screen.

This unit suits technicians, surveyors and first responders who need a lightweight tablet that survives drops, vibration and weather. Buyers who want user-upgradable memory or a second storage drive should look elsewhere because the RAM is soldered and only one M.2 2242 slot exists.

Single M.2 2242 slot limits storage expansion

The specification lists one drive, up to 1 TB M.2 2242 SSD, with no additional bays or slots. If your workflow requires more than 1 TB of internal capacity or the ability to swap drives in the field, this chassis cannot meet that need.

Questions about this item

Will the USB 3.1 Gen 1 and USB Type-C ports on this Latitude 7212 work with my existing USB 3.0 dock and older flash drives?

Yes. Both ports are backward compatible with USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 devices, so your current dock and drives will function normally.

How can I verify the i7-8650U quad-core processor and 16 GB soldered memory are detected correctly after first boot?

Open Settings → System → About and confirm the processor name shows Intel Core i7-8650U with four cores and installed RAM reads 16 GB.

Does the box include the 65-watt AC adapter, a stylus for the 11.6" FHD touchscreen, and the docking connector cable?

The OEM 65-watt AC adapter is included. Stylus and docking accessories are sold separately and not guaranteed in the box.
