Rugged 2-in-1 for field work

The Dell Latitude 7212 is an 11.6 inch detachable tablet running Windows 11 Pro on an Intel Core i7-8650U with 16 GB of soldered memory and a 128 GB SSD. It targets mobile professionals who need a fully sealed, touch-capable device that survives drops, vibration and temperature extremes in logistics, utilities or public-safety roles.

Sealed chassis with modular I/O

The magnesium-alloy shell measures 12 x 8.3 x .7 inches and weighs between 3 and 3.9 pounds with a 3-cell battery and 65-watt adapter. Ports include USB 3.1 Type-A with PowerShare, DisplayPort over USB Type-C, mini HDMI via Type-C, a 3.5 mm audio jack, micro-serial, micro-SIM, microSD, a docking connector with dual RF pass-through and a pogo-pin expansion port for barcode scanners or extra batteries.

Soldered memory and M.2 2242 storage limit

System RAM is fixed at 16 GB with no upgrade slots, so buyers needing more memory must choose a different platform. The single M.2 2242 slot accepts drives up to 1 TB, restricting capacity compared with longer M.2 2280 modules. The 10/100/1000 Mbps wired LAN and Bluetooth provide baseline connectivity, while the 1920 x 1080 touchscreen remains the sole display output without a dock.
