Rugged detachable tablet

The Dell Latitude 7212 is an 11.6" FHD touch tablet with a detachable keyboard, built for field work. It runs an Intel Core i7-8650U with 16GB of soldered memory and a 1TB M.2 2242 SSD. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed. The chassis meets rugged standards for harsh environments.

Field teams needing portability

This unit suits mobile workers who need a full Windows device that survives drops, dust and water. The 11.6" screen and 3 to 3.9 lbs weight help one-handed use. Buyers who want more storage than 1TB or user-upgradeable memory should look elsewhere. The soldered RAM and single drive slot prevent later expansion.

Included adapter and docking ready

A 65-watt AC adapter ships in the box for immediate power. The tablet offers a docking connector with dual RF passthrough, USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A, USB Type-C with DisplayPort, micro HDMI via Type-C, microSD reader and micro-SIM slot. Stylus and other accessories may be sold separately.

Questions about this item

Does the 7212 2-in-1 need a separate keyboard to type in laptop mode?

The unit ships with an OEM detachable keyboard that connects through the pogo pin expansion port on the tablet section.

Will my existing USB 3.1 Gen 1 peripherals work with the Type-C and USB-A ports on this 7212?

Both the USB Type-C and USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports support USB 3.1 Gen 1 speeds, so current USB 3.1 Gen 1 devices will operate normally.

Open Settings > System > Display to verify 1920 x 1080 resolution and touch input, then check Task Manager > Performance to see the i7-8650U with four cores active.
