Dell Latitude 7280 7380 Palmrest Assembly

This genuine Dell palmrest assembly integrates a touchpad, smart card reader and EMEA keyboard layout for Latitude 7280 and 7380 laptops. It includes the touchpad module, mouse buttons, LED indicator, USH junction board and cable. The unit arrives new and ready for installation.

EMEA Layout Compatibility Only

This assembly suits technicians repairing Latitude 7280 or 7380 units originally built with an EMEA keyboard. It will not support US-English layout keyboards, so buyers needing that layout must source a different part.

Questions about this item

Will this palmrest assembly fit a Dell Latitude 7280 that currently uses a US-English keyboard?

No, the assembly is built for EMEA keyboard layouts and will not support a US-English keyboard on the Latitude 7280 or 7380.

Can I reuse the existing smart card reader module GD8W8 from my Latitude 7380 with this replacement palmrest?

The replacement palmrest already includes the GD8W8 smart card reader module, so the original module does not need to be transferred.

How can I verify the touchpad module 8P10G is functioning correctly after installing this palmrest assembly?

After installation, move the pointer and press the HR8RF mouse buttons; smooth cursor control and reliable clicks confirm the 8P10G touchpad is working.
