Dell Latitude Palmrest Assembly

This genuine Dell palmrest assembly fits Latitude 7280 and 7380 laptops. It integrates the touchpad module, smart card reader, mouse buttons, LED indicator light with cable, USH junction board and USH junction cable. The part replaces Dell numbers 0JM9W and 67RJD.

For Latitude 7280 and 7380 owners

The assembly suits technicians repairing a damaged palmrest or upgrading a unit that lacks a smart card reader. Buyers whose laptop is a different Latitude model or another brand should look elsewhere because the mounting points and cable routing are specific to these two chassis.

Smart card reader included

The built-in smart card reader module (GD8W8) is the deciding feature; if your repair does not require smart card capability you may prefer a palmrest without that component.

Questions about this item

Does the smart-card reader on this 0JM9W palmrest add noticeable heat or fan noise during all-day use?

The assembly is a passive component with no active cooling, so it adds no measurable heat or fan noise during continuous operation.

Which Dell Latitude models must I already own for this 0JM9W palmrest to fit and function?

It is guaranteed compatible only with the Latitude 7280 and Latitude 7380; other models will not align with the mounting points or connector layout.

Will the included USH junction board VXG88 and cable 5XG64 connect to the existing motherboard headers on my Latitude 7280?

Yes, the USH junction board VXG88 and cable 5XG64 are the exact factory parts for the 7280 and 7380, so they plug directly into the original motherboard headers.
