Compact business laptop

The Dell Latitude 7290 is a 12.5 inch laptop built for professionals who need a lightweight system for travel and client meetings. It runs Windows 10 Home on an Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor at 1.9 GHz with 8GB of DDR4 memory. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 drives the 1366 x 768 HD display.

Upgrade from older ultraportables

This model replaces heavier or slower legacy notebooks with a unibody chassis and a 256GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD for fast boot and load times. The jump is worth it when you need Thunderbolt 3 over USB-C for docks or external displays plus HDMI output for projectors. Gigabit Ethernet and 802.11ac Wi-Fi with Bluetooth 4.2 keep you connected in offices or hotels.

Everyday productivity headroom

The 256GB NVMe drive and 8GB DDR4 comfortably handle office suites, web apps and video calls on the 12.5 inch screen. Storage runs out with large local media libraries or virtual machines. Integrated graphics 620 limits 3D work, gaming or multi-monitor 4K output. Buyers who need more memory, a touchscreen or discrete GPU should look elsewhere.
