Compact business laptop

The Dell Latitude 7290 is a 12.5-inch laptop built for mobile professionals who need a durable device for daily office tasks. Its unibody chassis uses premium materials to withstand frequent travel and client meetings. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles standard productivity workloads and video playback. Windows 10 Pro provides a familiar environment for managed IT deployments.

Connectivity and build implications

Two USB 3.0 ports, a Thunderbolt USB-C connection, HDMI output and a microSD card reader cover common peripheral needs without extra dongles. Gigabit Ethernet and 802.11 wireless with Bluetooth 4.2 keep the machine linked in docked or wireless setups. The M.2 SATA SSD and 8 GB DDR4 memory deliver responsive boot and application loading while preserving battery runtime. A 720p webcam supports conference calls on the move.

Upgrade context and limits

This unit replaces older 1366 x 768 ultraportables that lack Thunderbolt or modern wireless standards. The jump is worthwhile when a lighter chassis and faster I/O matter more than a higher-resolution panel or discrete graphics. Buyers who need more storage capacity or a touchscreen should consider other models. The 128 GB drive and soldered memory restrict future expansion for intensive local workloads.
