Purpose-built mobile workstation

The Dell Latitude 7290 is a 12.5-inch laptop designed for professionals who need a compact Windows 10 Pro device for travel and client meetings. Its unibody construction and integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 suit office productivity and presentation tasks on the go.

Quad-core i7-8650U at 1.9 GHz

The Intel Core i7-8650U processor delivers four cores with 8 MB L2 cache, providing the single-thread responsiveness that decides whether business applications run smoothly. This CPU defines the performance ceiling for the entire system.

8 GB DDR4 and 1 TB NVMe headroom

The 1 TB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD offers ample space for large project files and fast boot times, while 8 GB of DDR4 memory handles typical multitasking. Memory-intensive workloads such as virtual machines or heavy creative suites will exceed the available RAM.

Questions about this item

How does the 1.9 GHz quad-core i7-8650U perform in everyday workloads?

The 1.9 GHz base clock on four cores handles office apps, web browsing and light multitasking smoothly; Turbo Boost raises speed when thermal headroom allows.

What does the Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port actually let me connect?

The USB-C port carries Thunderbolt 3, so it drives external displays, high-speed storage and docks through a single cable.

Will a standard 2.5-inch drive fit inside the 7290 chassis?

The laptop uses an M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD only; there is no 2.5-inch bay or caddy provided.
