Genuine Dell OEM ribbon cable connecting the palmrest USH junction board to the motherboard on Latitude 7320 and 7320 2-in-1 laptops
This genuine Dell OEM ribbon cable connects the palmrest USH junction board to the motherboard in compatible Latitude laptops. It carries the Dell part number 4FXC1 and matches the alternate references GDC31_USH_BOARD_FFC and NBX0002QJ00. The component is designed specifically for the Latitude 7320 and Latitude 7320 2-in-1 models.
The flat ribbon construction carries only low-voltage signals between the palmrest board and the mainboard. It draws no measurable power of its own and adds no audible noise or thermal load to the system. Installation simply routes the flexible circuit through the existing chassis channels.
The cable length and connector pitch follow the original Dell layout, so the part fits the existing retention clips without modification. It restores the fingerprint reader and palmrest functions when the original cable is damaged. Buyers needing a different laptop series or a motherboard-level repair will not be served by this single flex cable.

Route the flexible flat cable through the chassis channel, align the exposed contacts with the ZIF connector on the motherboard, flip the locking bar down to seat it, then connect the opposite end to the palmrest board using the same ZIF method; the step most people miss is fully closing both locking bars before reassembly.
The ribbon cable itself requires no scheduled maintenance; it is replaced only if the USH fingerprint reader or palmrest buttons stop responding due to a cracked flex or corroded contacts after repeated lid cycles.
The copper traces inside the flex can fatigue after thousands of hinge cycles, leading to intermittent USH signal loss before the connectors or insulation show any wear.
