Business laptop for mobile professionals

The Dell Latitude 7420 is a 13.9 inch Windows 10 Pro notebook built for daily office tasks, video calls and document work. Its Core i7-1185G7 processor and 16 GB of memory keep common productivity software responsive. The 1 TB NVMe drive holds large project libraries and media files. A fingerprint reader and smartcard reader add hardware authentication for corporate environments.

Limits of the FHD non-touch panel

The 1920 x 1080 resolution on a 13.9 inch screen gives sharp text but no touch input or pen support. Colour-critical design work may need an external monitor with wider gamut coverage. The integrated graphics share system memory, so very heavy 3D or sustained compute loads will throttle. Buyers who want a touchscreen or higher pixel density should look elsewhere.

The 16 GB soldered memory ceiling

Memory is not upgradeable, so 16 GB is the permanent maximum for this unit. Multitasking with many browser tabs, virtual machines or large datasets will hit that limit. If your workflow regularly exceeds 16 GB of active RAM, this model cannot meet the requirement.
