Professional laptop for business users

The Dell Latitude 7420 targets professionals who need a reliable 14.0" Windows 11 Pro machine with vPro manageability. An 11th Gen Core i5-1145G7 four-core processor reaches 4.4 GHz turbo frequency. 16GB of soldered LPDDR4X memory and a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD handle typical office workloads. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics drive the 1920 x 1080 60 Hz non-touch display.

Sustained load behaviour

The 65 W power adapter and 63 WHr four-cell battery support extended work sessions away from a desk. Two Thunderbolt 4 ports and HDMI 2.0 allow multi-monitor setups without docks. Wi-Fi 6 AX201 and Bluetooth 5.2 maintain stable wireless connectivity during video calls. The 720p webcam and backlit keyboard remain functional in low-light conditions. Passive cooling manages thermals for typical productivity tasks.

Deciding specification

Soldered LPDDR4X memory cannot be upgraded after purchase, so the 16GB capacity is fixed for the device lifespan. Buyers who anticipate heavier multitasking or virtualisation workloads should verify this limit before ordering. The single 1TB NVMe drive can be replaced, but memory expansion is not possible. This constraint defines whether the configuration matches long-term requirements.
