Ready-to-use business laptop

The Dell Latitude 7480 is a 14.0-inch laptop built around an Intel Core i7-6600U processor running at 2.6GHz. It ships with 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 512GB SATA M.2 solid-state drive. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed so the system is ready for work immediately.

Ports and expansion for a mobile desk

Three USB 3.0 ports, one HDMI output and a single Thunderbolt 3 USB-C connection handle monitors, docks and high-speed storage. Gigabit Ethernet and 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi with Bluetooth 4.2 cover wired and wireless networks. A microSD card reader adds removable-media flexibility without extra adapters.

Suited for office mobility, not heavy graphics

The integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 drives the 1920 x 1080 non-touch display and external screens for productivity tasks. Buyers who need discrete GPU power for rendering, gaming or GPU-accelerated compute should look at a different class of machine. The Grade B cosmetic condition means visible scratches or surface marks are present.

Questions about this item

Does the dual-core i7-6600U throttle under long compile or render jobs?

The 2.6 GHz dual-core processor with 4 MB L2 cache relies on the laptop’s internal cooling; sustained heavy workloads will trigger thermal limits before the CPU can hold its peak frequency.

How loud and hot does the chassis get when the Intel HD Graphics 520 drives a 1080p external display all day?

Integrated graphics share the same heat pipes as the CPU, so fan noise rises and the base warms noticeably during continuous video output or multi-monitor use.

Which dock or adapter do I need to run two monitors and charge through the single USB-C port?

A Thunderbolt 3 dock with Power Delivery is required to drive dual displays and supply power simultaneously over the sole USB-C connector.
