Business ultraportable for mobile professionals

The Dell Latitude 7480 is a 14.0 inch laptop built for people who travel or meet clients regularly. A 6th generation Intel Core i7-6600U running at 2.60GHz with 8GB of DDR4 memory handles office workloads and video calls. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is installed on a 1TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD for quick boot and application loading.

Single-cable docking and external displays

One Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port carries data, video and charging through a compatible dock, reducing cable clutter at a desk. An HDMI output connects directly to projectors or televisions for presentations. Three USB 3.0 ports, gigabit Ethernet, a microSD reader and Bluetooth 4.2 cover mice, keyboards, wired networks and file transfers without extra adapters.

Steady performance within a thin chassis

Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 drives the 1920 x 1080 non-touch panel and supports external monitors without a discrete GPU. The dual-core processor sustains typical business tasks such as document editing, web browsing and video conferencing within its thermal envelope. Battery life benefits from the efficient CPU and the solid-state drive, though heavy multi-threaded loads will throttle clock speeds in this compact design.

Questions about this item

Does the 2.6 GHz i7-6600U throttle quickly during long workloads?

The dual-core 6600U runs at 2.6 GHz base speed and relies on the slim chassis cooling; sustained heavy tasks will hit thermal limits and reduce clocks.

How loud and hot does the 14" laptop get when running all day?

With only integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 and a thin body, fan noise becomes audible and the keyboard deck warms up under continuous load.

What cables or adapters must I already own to use the Thunderbolt 3 port?

The single USB-C Thunderbolt 3 port needs a Thunderbolt 3 cable or dock for full speed; standard USB-C cables will work but at lower bandwidth.
