Compact business laptop for mobile professionals

The Dell Latitude 7480 is a 14.0 inch notebook powered by an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor running at 2.6 GHz. It comes with 16GB DDR4 memory and a 1TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD for fast storage access. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 drives a 1920 x 1080 non-touch FHD display. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed.

Connectivity suite for docks and displays

Three USB 3.0 ports handle standard peripherals while a single Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port adds high-speed expansion for docks or external GPUs. An HDMI output connects directly to projectors or televisions for presentations. Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 cover wired and wireless networking. A microSD card reader is also included for quick media transfer.

Efficient thermals in a slim chassis

The low-power U-series processor and integrated graphics keep heat output modest during typical office workloads, allowing the thin chassis to run quietly. Fan noise stays low during document editing, web browsing or video calls. The 1TB NVMe SSD draws less power than a mechanical drive, helping to extend battery life on the move.

Questions about this item

What is the maximum resolution the Intel HD Graphics 520 can drive on the built-in 14.0" display?

The integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 drives the native 1920 x 1080 FHD panel at its full resolution without scaling.

Does the cooling system stay quiet when the Intel Core i7-6600U runs at 2.6 GHz for long periods?

The dual-core Skylake processor operates at a low thermal design point, so fan noise remains modest during sustained workloads.

Which dock or monitor cable is required to use the Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port for video output?

A USB-C to DisplayPort or HDMI adapter, or a Thunderbolt 3 dock, is needed because the port carries video but has no native HDMI connector.
