Dell Latitude 7480 14" business laptop

The Dell Latitude 7480 is a 14-inch business laptop built for professionals who need a compact, durable machine. It runs on an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor with 32GB DDR4 memory and a 1TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD. The Full HD 1920 x 1080 non-touch display and integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 handle everyday office tasks. Windows 10 Pro x64 comes pre-installed.

Best for mobile workers, not for heavy creators

This configuration suits mobile workers who value long battery life, Thunderbolt 3 expansion and a lightweight chassis for travel or client meetings. The HDMI port and Gigabit Ethernet support external displays and wired networks. Buyers who need dedicated graphics performance for 3D rendering, video editing or modern gaming should look at a different class of machine. Touchscreen interaction is also not available on this unit.

32GB DDR4 memory decides multitasking headroom

The soldered 32GB DDR4 capacity is the single specification that determines whether this laptop can run multiple virtual machines, large spreadsheets and many browser tabs without swapping. Because the memory is not upgradeable, the 32GB figure must match the buyer's peak workload from day one. Storage and processor speed are secondary to this fixed limit.

Questions about this item

How does the i7-6600U at 2.6 GHz perform in daily workloads?

The dual-core Skylake processor with 4 MB L2 cache handles office apps, web browsing and light multitasking smoothly; 32 GB DDR4 keeps many tabs and documents open without swapping.

What does the Thunderbolt 3 port actually support on this laptop?

The single USB-C Thunderbolt 3 connection carries data, DisplayPort video and power delivery, so one cable can drive an external monitor and charge the system simultaneously.

Will the 1 TB NVMe M.2 drive fit in the existing slot without an adapter?

Yes — the factory-installed 1 TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD occupies the primary M.2 slot, so the laptop boots and runs from it immediately.
