Replacement palmrest assembly with touchpad, fingerprint reader and smart-card reader for Dell Latitude 7480 dual-point models
This genuine Dell OEM palmrest assembly integrates a touchpad, fingerprint reader and smart card reader for the Latitude 7480 laptop. It arrives new and includes the touchpad module, mouse buttons, LED indicator with cable, USH junction board and cable, fingerprint module and its ribbon cable. The assembly is built to Dell part number F5WV3.
This unit fits Latitude 7480 systems equipped with dual pointing devices — two sets of mouse buttons and a centre stick pointer. Buyers whose 7480 uses a single pointing layout should look elsewhere because the button arrangement and internal connectors differ. The package supplies every sub-component listed under the Dell PN for a complete swap.
The fingerprint reader module and smart card reader module work together to restore Windows Hello login and contactless card authentication. Capacity is defined by the original laptop firmware; no extra headroom or expansion is offered by this replacement part. Installation reuses existing screws and cables from the chassis.

Yes — the assembly is built for Latitude 7480 Dual Point systems and includes the touchpad module, fingerprint reader, smart-card reader, mouse buttons XKYX9, LED indicator Y81KR, USH junction board VXG88 and cables 67P8C and YK41H.
The package already contains a new fingerprint reader module WN9D2 with its ribbon cable 67P8C; swapping in the old module is unnecessary and would add extra disassembly steps.
Open Windows Device Manager and verify that both the fingerprint sensor and the smart-card reader appear without error codes; the LED indicator Y81KR should also light during boot.
