Dell Latitude 7490 Business Laptop

The Dell Latitude 7490 is a 14.0 inch business laptop running Windows 10 Pro. It is built for professionals who need a reliable mobile workstation for office applications and video conferencing. The integrated webcam and dual-pointing keyboard support productive remote work. Buyers who want a dedicated graphics card or a touchscreen display should look elsewhere.

Intel Core i7-8650U Quad-Core Processor

The single specification that decides fit is the Intel Core i7-8650U processor with four cores, a 1.90 GHz base frequency and a 4.20 GHz maximum turbo frequency. This 15W chip delivers responsive performance for multitasking, web browsing and document editing. Systems requiring discrete GPU acceleration for rendering or gaming will not be satisfied by the integrated graphics.

16GB DDR4 Memory and 256GB SSD

The 16GB of 2400MHz DDR4 memory provides comfortable headroom for running multiple business applications and browser tabs simultaneously. The 256GB solid-state drive offers fast boot times and quick file access for the operating system and active projects. Questions about this item

What does the 1.90 GHz base speed of the i7-8650U mean for everyday workloads?

The quad-core processor runs at 1.90 GHz normally and can boost up to 4.20 GHz when thermal headroom allows, so routine tasks stay responsive while heavier bursts get extra speed.

What display output does the integrated Intel UHD Graphics support on this 14.0" model?

The built-in panel is a 1366 x 768 non-touch anti-glare screen; external monitors connect through the available video ports on the chassis.

Which memory standard fits the 16GB configuration already installed?

The system uses DDR4 2400 modules, so any upgrade or replacement must match that generation and speed.
