Built for mobile professionals

The Dell Latitude 7490 is a 14 inch touchscreen laptop running Windows 10 Pro. It targets professionals who need a compact device with pen and finger input for presentations or field work. The quad-core Intel Core i7 8650U at 1.9GHz and 16GB memory handle office suites and video calls. It is not for buyers who need discrete graphics or a larger display.

512GB solid-state drive

The single specification that decides fit is the 512GB SSD capacity. It stores the operating system, applications and a moderate working set of documents without relying on external drives. Users with large media libraries or virtual-machine images will find the space limiting. No other storage device is included in the configuration.

Thunderbolt port expands connectivity

The Thunderbolt port adds high-speed data and video output through a single USB-C connector, letting you attach docks, external GPUs or fast storage. The backlit keyboard and integrated webcam support low-light typing and video conferencing. Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth handle wireless peripherals. No software bundles beyond Windows 10 Pro are mentioned.
