Business ultraportable for mobile professionals

The Dell Latitude 7490 is a 13.9 inch laptop built for business users who need reliable performance on the move. It runs Windows 10 Home with an optional upgrade path to Windows 11 Pro. An Intel Core i7 8650U processor at 1.90 GHz and 16 GB of memory handle office workloads and multitasking. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 drives the 1920 x 1080 non-touch display.

Verify memory and OS needs before purchase

Both memory slots are populated, so the 16 GB configuration cannot be expanded without replacing existing modules. The system supports up to 32 GB total if you plan a future upgrade. Confirm that Windows 10 Home meets your software requirements or budget for the Windows 11 Pro upgrade. The 256 GB SSD provides the primary storage; check capacity against your local file needs.

Replaces older 13 inch business notebooks

This unit upgrades from machines limited to 8 GB memory or dual-core processors. The jump is worth it when you need smoother multitasking and faster responsiveness in daily business applications. It is not for buyers who want a dedicated graphics card, a touchscreen, or user-replaceable batteries. The non-touch 1080p panel and integrated graphics suit standard office tasks rather than creative rendering.

Questions about this item

Does the laptop ship with a power adapter or must I buy one separately?

The unit will come with an adapter and the operating system pre-installed, so no separate power supply purchase is required.

Should I choose the 16 GB memory configuration or plan to upgrade to the 32 GB maximum?

The system already has 16 GB installed across both memory slots, so upgrading to the 32 GB maximum would require replacing the existing modules rather than adding to them.

How does the 1.90 GHz Core i7 8650U perform with the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 in daily workloads?

The 1.90 GHz quad-core processor paired with Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles typical business applications and multitasking across the 1920 x 1080 display without needing discrete graphics.
