14-inch business laptop with i7-8650U

The Dell Latitude 7490 is a 14.0-inch laptop built around an Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor running at 1.9 GHz. It comes with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 1 TB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. The FHD display shows 1920 x 1080 resolution and is driven by Intel UHD Graphics 620. Windows 10 Home is pre-installed.

Suited for office work and travel.

This machine suits professionals who need a portable 14-inch device for document editing, web browsing and video calls. The integrated graphics and non-touch screen make it a poor fit for buyers who want gaming performance, creative rendering or a tablet-style interface. Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI ports support external monitors for desk setups.

1 TB NVMe storage with 16 GB memory headroom

The 1 TB NVMe drive holds large project libraries and local backups without constant cleanup. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 keeps dozens of browser tabs and business apps running together. Demanding tasks such as video editing or virtual machines will exhaust the integrated graphics and quad-core CPU before storage or memory become the bottleneck.
