Business-ready 14 inch touchscreen laptop

The Dell Latitude 7490 combines a quad-core Intel Core i7-8650U processor with 32GB DDR4 memory and a 2TB NVMe PCIe SSD. It runs Windows 11 Pro on a 14.0 inch Full HD touch display with integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620. The compact black chassis includes HDMI, USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 1 and Gigabit Ethernet for office or mobile use.

32GB DDR4 memory and 2TB NVMe PCIe storage

This configuration delivers 32GB of DDR4 system memory paired with a 2TB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. The large capacity handles extensive local files, virtual machines and heavy multitasking without relying on external drives. Buyers who need more storage or user-upgradeable memory slots should consider a different platform.

Charger included, ready to deploy

The unit ships with a charger and installed battery so it powers on immediately. Integrated graphics limit 3D performance, so the laptop is not suited for gaming or GPU compute workloads. The soldered memory prevents future RAM upgrades, and the single M.2 slot means storage expansion requires drive replacement.

Questions about this item

How does the 1.9 GHz quad-core i7-8650U perform in daily workloads?

The 8th Gen quad-core processor with 8 MB cache and 15 W power rating handles office apps, web browsing and video calls smoothly, while the low base clock keeps heat and fan noise down in a thin 14" chassis.

What does the USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 port support on this Latitude 7490?

The single USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 port provides 5 Gbps data, DisplayPort video output and PowerShare charging for phones or accessories.

Will a 2280 NVMe stick fit the M.2 slot for storage upgrades?

Yes, the 2 TB boot drive uses an M.2 NVMe PCIe form factor, so a standard 2280 NVMe SSD can be swapped in without adapters.
