Core performance and mobility

The Latitude 7490 pairs an Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor with 8GB of DDR4 memory for responsive multitasking in office applications and web workloads. The 1.9 GHz base clock reaches 4.2 GHz on Turbo Boost, giving headroom for short bursts of heavier compute. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles 1080p video playback and basic UI acceleration but is not suited for 3D rendering or gaming.

Storage capacity and system limits

A 1 TB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD provides fast boot, application launch and file transfer speeds while leaving generous space for large document libraries and local media. The 8GB memory ceiling is soldered, so virtual machines, large datasets or heavy creative suites will hit the RAM limit before the storage fills. The 14.0 inch FHD non-touch display delivers crisp text at 1920 x 1080 but offers no pen or touch input.

Ports and included accessories for connectivity

Thunderbolt 3 over USB-C enables high-speed external storage, dual 4K displays or docking with a single cable. HDMI output connects directly to projectors or meeting-room screens, while three USB 3.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet and a microSD reader cover legacy peripherals. The box supplies the laptop, charger and battery so the system is ready to deploy without extra cables.
