Dell Latitude 7490 business laptop

The Dell Latitude 7490 is a 14.0 inch business laptop built around an Intel Core i5-8350U processor running at 1.7 GHz. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 512 GB M.2 SATA solid-state drive. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 drives the 1920 x 1080 FHD non-touch display. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit comes pre-installed on this new unit.

Suits mobile professionals needing a managed

This configuration suits office workers, students and IT fleets that want a lightweight 14 inch chassis with a quad-core processor, 16 GB of RAM and a fast SATA SSD for everyday productivity. Buyers who want a touchscreen, discrete graphics, a larger display or user-upgradeable memory should look at other models because this unit has a non-touch FHD panel, integrated graphics only and soldered memory.

M.2 SATA SSD interface dictates drive upgrades

The single most important specification for future expansion is the M.2 SATA solid-state drive interface. The installed 512 GB drive uses the SATA protocol, so any replacement or additional storage must be a compatible M.2 SATA module.
