Dell Latitude 9520 business laptop

The Dell Latitude 9520 is a 15.0 inch business laptop built around an Intel Core i7-1185G7 quad-core processor with a 4.40 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 16GB of memory and a 512GB SSD running Windows 10 Pro. The non-touch FHD display resolves at 1920 x 1080 and uses integrated graphics for everyday productivity.

Thermals noise and power in typical use

The wedge-shaped chassis measures 0.71 inches high, 13.4 inches wide and 8.49 inches deep with a starting weight of 3.1 pounds. Two Thunderbolt 4 ports with Power Delivery and DisplayPort handle charging and video while a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port with power share, HDMI 2.0 and a uSD reader cover peripherals. Integrated graphics keep heat and fan activity modest during office workloads.

Sustained load behaviour

Under continuous multi-core demand the 1.8 GHz base clock and four Tiger Lake cores maintain performance within the slim thermal envelope. Thunderbolt 4 bandwidth supports external GPU enclosures or high-speed storage if the integrated graphics become a bottleneck. The fingerprint reader and Windows 10 Pro add security without adding thermal load.
