Genuine Dell Latitude D500 LCD back cover

This is a genuine Dell OEM back cover lid assembly for the Latitude D500 with a 14.1" display. It includes the plastic cover, hinges, front bezel and latch. The part number is 4Y198 and it is supplied as a new component. It is intended for owners repairing a cracked or damaged lid on that specific model.

Straightforward swap for experienced users

Installation requires disassembling the display panel, routing cables through the hinges and reattaching the bezel and latch. Builders who lack a service manual or suitable screwdrivers often strip screw heads or pinch the antenna wires. The part is not compatible with other Dell series or screen sizes, so buyers needing a different chassis should look elsewhere.
