Deciding Specification

The 120GB SSD capacity is the limiting factor for users who store large media libraries or multiple virtual machines locally. Buyers needing more onboard storage should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 120GB SSD and what step do people get wrong?

The 120GB SSD fits in the 2.5-inch bay; the step people get wrong is forgetting to transfer the mounting bracket and screws from the old drive.

What maintenance or replacement will the 8GB RAM need later?

The 8GB RAM is soldered to the board so it cannot be upgraded; only a full motherboard swap would change capacity.

What limit shows up first on the i7-2620M under sustained use?

The dual-core 2.70GHz i7-2620M hits thermal throttling before the 1366x768 graphics or 120GB SSD become bottlenecks.
